What’s CELI Impatto?
CELI Impatto (Level A1) is an official language certification issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia and takes place on the same dates 3 times a year worldwide: in March, June and November. CELI exams can only be administered by an authorized institution on behalf of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. In California, the official examination center is the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di San Francisco.

The CELI Impatto examination comprises three sections, which evaluate the following skills at a basic beginner level A1: reading comprehension, writing, listening, and speaking. The examination is divided into a written component (that includes the reading comprehension and the writing sections and lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes) and an oral component (that includes both the speaking and the listening comprehension sections and lasts approximately 5-6 minutes). The CELI certification does not expire.
Capitalization System
Both the written and oral parts of the exam can be capitalized: if the candidate does not achieve a sufficient overall score in one of the two parts, they have the option to retain the successfully completed partial component for a period of one year. Therefore, they have the next three exam sessions available to retake the insufficient part.
Why should I take CELI Impatto Livello A1?
There are several reasons for taking a CELI Impatto - Livello A1 exam: personal achievement, first step toward your goal to become fluent in Italian, an official certification you can add to your resume; preparing for a certification exam is the greatest motivator to continue studying and stay focused in the process.
Our CELI Impatto (A1)Preparation Course
This 8-week course is designed to prepare students for the CELI Impatto exam, a beginner-level A1 certification issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia. The course covers essential grammar, skills, and strategies to pass the exam, offering focused practice sessions and weekly simulations of each section of the exam. At the end of the 8 weeks, students will also have the opportunity to take a mock test, simulating the actual CELI Impatto examination. This complete simulation exam helps in understanding the exam structure and timing, leading to better preparation and less stress.
