What’s CELI 1?
CELI 1 - Level A2 is an official language certification issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia and is administered three times per year worldwide: in March, June, and November.
CELI exams are administered only by authorized institutions on behalf of the Università per Stranieri di Perugia. In California, the official examination center is the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di San Francisco. The CELI 1 examination consists of three sections evaluating basic user level A2 skills: reading comprehension, writing, listening, and speaking. The exam includes a written section lasting approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, that tests reading comprehension, writing, and listening, and an oral section lasting approximately 10 minutes.
The CELI certification does not expire.
Capitalization System
Both the written and oral parts of the exam can be capitalized. If a candidate does not achieve a sufficient overall score in one part, they have the option to retain the successfully completed partial section for a year. Thus, they can retake the insufficient part in the next three exam sessions.
Why should I take CELI 1 Level A2?

CELI 1 Preparation Course
This 8-week program prepares students for the CELI 1 exam, an A2 certification offered by the prestigious University for Foreigners of Perugia.
